Breakfast for everyone, every morning
The building divides into a guest side and a working side, which is why your group can have the run of the place while breakfast still happens.
The guest hallway closes off, and so do the front private entry and the game room. The main living area sits on the far side of the fireplace from the dining room, so the room your group sits in of an evening is not the room breakfast is served in.
Your group has the guest side to itself, with its own way in and its own places to sit, while the kitchen carries on working. That is how breakfast arrives every morning without anyone in the group having to think about it.
The kitchen is a state-inspected commercial kitchen, staffed and run as one, so it is not a room guests go into.
Who books the whole inn
Too big for a family of four and too small for a conference. What sits neatly in the middle turns out to be most of the reasons people travel together in the first place.
The last line of that list is worth a word. Wedding parties often need one place where everyone sleeps, eats breakfast and sees each other the night before. That is a lodging problem, and eight suites under one roof solve it neatly.

The grounds
The pavilion is covered and open-sided, which is what you want when a mountain afternoon rains for twenty minutes and then stops. The firepit is where the evening tends to end up. The trails start where the mown grass stops, and the creek and the pond are both a walk rather than a drive.
Down through the woods is our private guest dock on Lake Santeetlah, with kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for guests to take out at no extra cost. Roughly four-fifths of the lake's seventy-six miles of shoreline is national forest, so most of what a group paddles past is trees.
None of it needs the cars moved. That matters more with a group than it does with two people.
The inn and its groundsRates and minimum stays
How many the inn sleeps in total, how many nights a whole-inn stay runs, and how the rate is put together all move with the dates. A January midweek and a fortnight of autumn colour are not the same booking, and a figure that suits one of them is wrong for the other.
So we settle those three per enquiry. Tell us roughly when, roughly how many, and what the weekend is for, and you get real figures for your dates rather than a number on a web page that turns out not to apply to you.
